I can't burn CDs properly with Roxio 5. I can't read the CDs after I finish the burning process. What is the problem? Is it outdated? Can I run an update to fix this?

Yes, your version of the software is outdated, but this is not the cause of your problems. In order to burn your CDs, I suggest you follow the instructions from the user guide. You can find it in the Help menu. Also, if you want, you can find updates for the program on the official web page. If you follow the instructions, but you still have issues, try uninstalling the software and then installing it again. Alternatively, you can check Software Informer database for a similar program.
There are situations when simple applications interfere with other installed in your computer. It's best to simply close the other one while you use the one you want. The cause to these errors are shared libraries and various functions used by both applications. To avoid it, close one and use the other and that's it.
